Dimethyl Isosorbide

moisturising skin protecting

overview

Dimethyl Isosorbide (DMI) is a 100% pure, naturally derived solvent from renewable corn sugar. It enhances the penetration of active ingredients into the skin, improves shelf stability of active ingredients, and is miscible in water, most organic solvents, and non-ionic surfactants. It is used in sunless tanners, facial and eye-zone treatments, skin serums, anti-acne formulations and make-up removers. It is also safe for use in topical and oral drug delivery.
