moisturising

overview

Mannan is a natural polysaccharide derived from the Japanese Konjac plant. It is used in skincare products to create highly viscous gels with a silky texture. Mannan is popular in hair products and conditioners due to its silky texture and is also considered a great moisturizer ingredient due to its high polysaccharide content. It is a natural thickener, moisturizer, and film derived from the Amorphophallus konjac tuber. Konjac Mannan gel powder also works as a moisturizer, gelling agent together when used with xanthan gum. It is rich in vitamins, minerals and fatty acids to nourish the skin. Also acts as a texture enhancer to improve cushion and glide.

additional info

Mannan is also used in food products as a thickener and stabilizer. ECOCERT and COSMOS certified, Konjac Mannan Gel Powder is widely used in skin care product applications as a thickening agent. Konjac sponges are made using extracts from organic konjac plants, exclusively grown at the Yamamoto Farm in Japan. Japanese konjac sponges have a much higher reputation than the others. The konjac fibers are filled with minerals and antioxidants that cleanse and gently exfoliate the skin. These sponges can be used with or without soap to remove dead skin cells while not irritating the skin.
