additional info

BHAs are often used in combination with Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) in skincare products. Salicylic acid is not a true BHA from a chemist's perspective, but cosmetic companies often refer to it as a BHA. Sodium Salicylate is the sodium salt of salicylic acid and is used as a preservative in cosmetics. It is not an exfoliant like salicylic acid.
